Brant Point Capital was founded with the sole purpose to acquire and operate a single business for the long term
Approach
Flexible Terms
We will work together to create
a fair and mutually beneficial deal structure with a clear set of terms that are aligned with your transition goals. Whether you are looking to transition out of your business today or remain active in the day-to-day in the near term, together we will arrange a plan that works for you.
Employee Focus
I recognize the value of your
team and promise to treat them with the same respect and fairness that you have shown them over the years. I will also ensure the company culture and values continue on, as I appreciate that these qualities are critical to employee well-being and the long-term success and reputation of the business.
Legacy Preservation
I understand that your business is
not just a source of income, but a legacy you've built over your lifetime. You deserve a buyer who will carry forward your vision with the same passion and integrity as you have. I
am not seeking to "flip" your business over a short time period, but to operate it for decades.
About Me
Devon Hill
Founder
My background includes diverse experience across investment banking and private equity, with a specific focus on working with family and founder-owned companies.
I started my career in investment banking at Baird, advising large industrial businesses on mergers & acquisitions and capital raises. Following this, I spent several years at two Boston-based private equity firms, Hastings Equity Partners and MPE Partners, investing in family and founder-owned businesses across a range of services and manufacturing industries. In these roles, I was responsible for evaluating businesses, executing transactions, and partnering with owner-operators to drive growth through strategic initiatives and add-on acquisitions.
Through these experiences, I gained tremendous respect for entrepreneurs and families who have spent decades building their businesses. These individuals inspired me to form Brant Point Capital to carry forward their hard-earned legacy.
A Massachusetts native, I grew up in Falmouth and currently live in Boston. Outside of work I enjoy golfing, skiing, spending time on the water, and rooting for Boston sports teams. I graduated from Bentley University with a degree in Economics & Finance.

Process
Here is what you can expect as we navigate the transaction process together in a collaborative and efficient manner
Step 1: Intro Call
Through a 30-minute video or phone call, we’ll get to know each other, confidentially discuss your business and your succession goals, and determine whether a mutual fit exists.
Step 2: Financial Review & Initial Offer
I’ll request some basic financial information which will be used to deliver an initial ballpark value for your business. This step should take about a week.
Step 3: Additional Diligence & LOI
If there is mutual interest in moving forward, I’ll request additional information about the business which will be used to submit a Letter of Intent that outlines the key terms of our partnership. We will then work together to agree on a clear set of terms and sign the LOI. This step should take about three weeks.
Step 4: Final Diligence
Once an LOI is signed, we will start the final diligence process, which includes a more detailed evaluation of the financial, operational, and legal aspects of the business. Legal documentation will also be drafted during this period. This step takes anywhere from 60 to 90 days.
Step 5: Close and Celebrate
Once final diligence is complete, we will sign the final documentation, wire the funds, and celebrate your lifetime milestone. A post-close plan will be in place to seamlessly transition the company forward.
